Start with the model, not just the screen size
Two 13-inch MacBooks can look very similar and need different replacement screens. Before comparing quotes, find the model number printed underneath your laptop, such as A2337 or A2338. If your Mac still starts, Apple menu > About This Mac also gives you its model name. Send that information with a photo of the damage so the quote can be matched to your device.
The most useful question is: what is the installed price for this exact model and fault? A low parts-only price is not the same as a completed repair. Ask whether labour and GST are included and whether the quote assumes that the rest of the computer is working.
Beacon Tech Pro screen replacement prices
The listed installed prices, including GST, are: A1932, $691.35–$709.50; A2337, $731.50; A1989, A2159, A2289 and A2251, $856.35; and A2338, $907.50. Confirm the exact A1932 option and current availability when booking.
These prices relate to the screen replacement. Other faults are extra. A laptop that has also suffered liquid damage, has a bent enclosure or will not start may need further assessment before the total cost is clear. Describe everything that happened, even if the cracked screen seems to be the obvious problem.
What can change the scope?
Tell Ethan whether the Mac still makes its normal startup sounds, whether you can see any picture, and whether the damage followed a drop or spill. You do not need to diagnose it yourself. A short description helps separate a straightforward screen enquiry from a device with several symptoms.
A blank display alone does not establish the repair required. Avoid ordering parts from a picture of the laptop or assuming every black-screen fault needs a replacement display. Ask for the proposed work and total price before authorising the repair, including what happens if another issue is found.
How long should you allow?
An A2337 or A2338 screen replacement can take about an hour, subject to the device condition and the correct part being available. Confirm an appointment and availability first. That is a useful guide for planning your day, not a promise that every screen job will be finished within the same window.
If you need your Mac for school or work, mention your deadline when enquiring. Back up your files if the laptop is still usable, and arrange another device for anything time-critical. Do not leave an important presentation dependent on an unconfirmed repair time.

Beacon Tech Pro is based at 5 Marshall Crescent, Beacon Hill, NSW 2100. Ethan Wakeling brings more than seven years of repair experience. Call 0412 942 239 or email ethan@beacontech.com.au with the model number, a photo and a description of the fault.
If you already have another quote, compare the same scope: model, installed price, GST, part details and any additional work. That makes the decision much clearer than comparing two headline figures.
